The White Mountain School, like all independent schools, relies heavily on alumnae/i, parents, neighbors and friends for support. The very foundation of independent education in America is based upon charitable support, be it Harvard College in 1636 or today's pre-collegiate school like The White Mountain School. Operating without tax support or profit, the independent school is sustained by the good works and charitable resources of the community it serves. Charitable support is an integral part of the tradition and culture of an independent school.
Gifts help WMS continue to thrive, improve the school's offerings and directly impact the school's immediate and long-term fiscal well-being. Our general endowment stands at $2,000,000, so annual gifts to The White Mountain School are even more critical than for those schools fortunate to have endowments of $10,000,000 or more. Generous gifts are put to work the very day they are received on our campus in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.
Giving can take a variety of forms, and careful planning can help maximize the advantages both to the donor and to The White Mountain School. Please contact the Development Office at 603-444-2928, X16.
