Under the leadership of Caroline Ruhl '09, The White Mountain School's China Care Club has been recognized by the China Care Foundation as one of their outstanding new clubs. Caroline spent last summer volunteering for China Care. She then brought awareness of this organization back to campus, forming the China Care Club. This club has been busy with fundraisers this year and has been able to fund two surgeries needed for children in the orphanage. Caroline just recently returned from Romania, where she completed a senior project with the China Care Foundation. Below is the formal award announcement.

China Care Foundation is proud to announce the first annual Club Awards. We created the Club Awards to honor clubs as well as individual students who have gone above and beyond to generate support for China Care. The devoted members of our student-run clubs have contributed considerably to China Care Foundation over the years – donating their time, effort and passion to help us provide loving care to so many children in need. These inaugural awards, given at the culmination of the 2008-2009 academic year, will become an annual tradition. We congratulate this year’s winners on their hard-earned success and look forward to celebrating the dedication and commitment of many more in the years to come.
