To simplify the application process, we will accept any of the following application forms.  Please choose the one that best fits your needs.

 

Application Process

  1. Take the SSAT (strongly encouraged but not required).
  2. Visit campus for a tour and interview. Phone or Skype interviews may be arranged when absolutely necessary.
  3. Complete the online application. New users must create an account by clicking register on the log-in screen. If you have forgotten your log-in or password please contact us at 603-444-2928 ext. 26. Teacher recommendation forms and transcript release forms must be downloaded from the online application and mailed separately. 

You will be notified throughout the application process aboutmaterials that we receive as well as about materials that are missingfrom your application. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your application is complete.

Once your application is complete we will follow the timeline below in notifying you of our decision. Admissions decisions are based upon a student's demonstrated motivationto succeed, academic record, and teacher references. Foremost, we lookfor a “good fit” between you and us.

Application Timeline

If your application is received by our priority February 1st deadline:

  1. Application will be reviewed by our admission committee during the month of February.
  2. Decisions will be mailed on March 10th. An e-mail notification will also be sent.
  3. If your application is completed early you will receive periodic mailings of news and events from WMS.
  4. If accepted, you may schedule a revisit day to shadow a current student throughout an entire day.
  5. Candidate decisions are due back to WMS by April 10th.

If your application is received after our priority deadline:

  1. Application will be reviewed within one week of completion by our admission committee.
  2. Decision will be mailed immediately after the admission committee has reviewed the application.
  3. If accepted while school is still in session, you may schedule a revisit day.
  4. Candidate decisions are due back to WMS two weeks after notification of acceptance.

SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)

We believe the best learning occurs when teachers are not focused on standardized testing. Therefore, SSAT scores are only a small part of our application review process. However, we do strongly encourage that you take the test and submit your scores. The information gathered from these scores, in addition to your current grades and recommendations, gives us a more complete picture of your strengths and weaknesses. This allows us to more accurately determine the classes and level of support that would appropriately challenge you and lead to your success at WMS. SSAT Online Application

To apply online you may use the SSAT online application form. You will need an SSAT free account to complete this process. If you do not already have an account, you will be directed to create one. You do not need to take the SSAT to have an account. SSAT accepts Visa or MasterCard for application fee payments.

TABS Application

The Associate of Boarding Schools (TABS) has developed the Boarding Schools Admission Application Form to simplify the admission process for applicants as well as for the teachers whom you select to complete recommendations. This application is convenient for you and for your references, if the you plan to apply to more than one school. Check with the schools you are planning to apply with to make sure they all accept the TABS application before proceeding with this option.
