The White Mountain School understands that not all families are able toafford the annual cost of an independent school education. A student’sfinancial situation has no bearing on his/her admission to The WhiteMountain School. Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstratedfinancial need, which is evaluated after the student has been accepted. Applications for financial aid should be submitted before February 1;applications will be accepted later in the admission’s cycle but areless likely to be funded. To apply for financial aid you will need to complete the SSS form (explained below) and submit a copy of your federal tax return.
The School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) is a service provided by the National Association of Independent Schools. This service provides an objective and consistent method of determining a family's ability to contribute to educational expenses.
To apply for financial aid parents will need to complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) and indicate WMS as a school that should receive the report. For additional information about SSS contact the Admission Office or go to the online SSS website.
