ball and could not quit talking about the great people and how much he learned.
He was ready to set out again almost as soon as he got home! –Kelly Tyler,

He seems to have more self confidence and awareness that there
is more to the world than just his high school environment, a lesson we have
been trying to teach for years he learned in three weeks. -Michael and Christina

I would describe my child’s experience as simply
amazing....varied experience in sports, excellent supplies provided, nice
social connection, great collaboration of the leaders involved, meaningful
group discussions, great food!!! My communication with the White Mountain and / or Adventure
Treks office by phone and email during the school year was...WOW! In communicating w/ Ben Mirkin, I always came away with a
sense of "things were taken care of". Ben was informed, helpful and
sensitive to my needs as a parent. My concerns were addressed and my daughter,
Kaitlyn did come back from the 3week experience anticipating her next!! -Paula Mordini, Smithtown, NY
“I expected this trip to be like any other camp. I expected to eat bad food, hike and go
to bed. It was NOTHING like
that. This was sooo much more than
just a camp. It was a life
changing experience.” -Julia

It was way better and people were even more friendly than I
thought they would be. Loved the
instructors and students!
Activities were super fun! – Kelsey Kahn, 15, Fair Lawn, NJ
Patrick’s experience was wonderful and better than we
expected. He quickly made friends with children from around the world and they
still keep in touch. The counselors were very professional and had an obvious
love and respect for the outdoors. We loved how adventure treks emphasize love
of community as well as nature. He returned from this camp a more confident and
mature young man. He can't wait for his next adventure in 2010 we thank u very
much –Kathleen Mahoney, Nyack, NY
Julia enjoyed herself even more than she thought she would
and grew in confidence and competence even more than I hoped she would. A
wonderful experience led by truly exceptional teachers. – Victoria Godfrey,
Venice, CA

camp experience. It was more interactive and more emphasis was placed on
developing character skills through the various activities. – Katherine
Finnegan, Omaha, Nebraska
My son found this a very positive experience. He learned a
lot, enjoyed the other participants, appreciated the kindness and wisdom of the
instructors. It was a highlight of his summer. - Elizabeth Wright, Lexington,
MA
Hannah had the best camp experience so far in her life.
she felt a sense of transformation in that she was challenged and rose to the challenge
and felt very good about that. Overall, my
child's experience was Exceptional. Hannah was inspired by the experience as well as by the
counselors and wants to do a different Adventure Treks experience next
year(Montana or Alaska). - Maia Kikerpilll, Dobbs Ferry, NY
I felt Extremely Safe with my child as part of this
adventure. I say extremely safe because I know the risks were
controlled and that kids were allowed to experience real risk, but in a
safety-conscious environment with very highly trained staff. I understand that
kids were in fact *not* extremely safe (thankfully), but the objective hazards
were understood by staff, imparted to kids, and handled properly. Well done. -
Neil Kamman, Vergennes, VT
