Applying Process

We typically enroll new students in September and January. Our application deadline for the fall is February 1, and for the winter is September 1. After these dates we will accept students on a rolling admissions basis. We encourage you to apply early; however, we also recognize that decisions to attend a boarding school often come about quickly. We understand, so we try to be quick about our response to those situations.

Admissions decisions are based upon a student's demonstrated motivation to succeed, academic record, and teacher references. Foremost, we look for a “good fit” between you and us. We encourage you to take the SSAT; however, it is not required. Applicants to our learning assistance program are required to submit a psycho-educational evaluation that is not more than two years old.

Experiencing the WMS community is an important part of the application process. We want you to attend Morning Meeting, talk with current students, and tour our campus and facilities with a student tour guide. A campus visit and interview are required for all applicants. This may be waived for extraordinary circumstances, particularly for international students, where an interview may be conducted by phone.

White Mountain School admits students of any race, creed, sex, national, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at the School. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sex, national, or ethnic origins in any school administered program.
