The White Mountain School and USA Climbing present the
2007-2008 Climbing Series
at The White Mountain School
Every year The White Mountain School hosts a variety of climbing competitions
through USA Climbing. These events are a great way to get into climbing, meet
new friends, and become ranked nationally with USA Climbing.

The 2007-2008 schedule includes the
following events:
- ABS9 Bouldering Comp (all ages) - October 27, 2007
- SCS Junior Climbing Comp (under18) - May 3, 2008
Ultimate Indoor Climbing
White Mountain's indoor climbing facility covers 3,000 sq. ft., peaks at
a height of 38 feet, and includes over 500 sq. ft. of steep terrain for bouldering,
ropes set with mechanical belay devices, bolts for lead climbing, intricate
corner systems and real crack systems. Its surface, an epoxy-based cement,
uses granite, marble dust, and sand giving it the look and texture of real
granite rock. The climbing wall is part of The White Mountain School's athletic
facility that includes free weights, Nautilus equipment, and a running track.
The facility
is a central
point for all athletic and Wilderness Skills Program activities. The White
Mountain School’s rock and ice climbing programs are the first and only
high school program, public or private, to earn accreditation from the American
Mountain Guides Association.
