We are first and foremost a boarding school (80% boarding students.) However, we are miles apart from the Hollywood image that often portrays boarding schools as a place for the children of the privileged or as a place where families “send” their children. We are a diverse, supportive and inclusive community. Students will be the first to tell you that we are virtually clique free, and that people here are valued , not merely accepted, as the unique individuals they are. They will also tell you that they want to be here. Our 24/7 lives are structured with sufficient time for academics, study halls, sports, cultural events and community service along with plenty of unstructured time for hanging out with friends, weekend trips, and activities both on and off campus. For more information on boarding schools visit The Association of Boarding Schools online and read the TABS research article about boarding schools.
