The White Mountain School provides amazing opportunities for students to live, work and play together with their peers and faculty. Boarding and Day students are equally involved in the dynamic life of the School. Beyond the class day and sports time, there is a great deal with which to be involved. On weekdays, there may be club meetings, crew responsibilities, advisor dinners or a cultural event. Often, the time between sports and study hall is simply used for relaxing with friends, going to the fitness center, getting a jump on homework or playing foosball.
All students, except those who are exempt due to academic honor roll achievements, have study hall from 7:30-9:30 each weeknight. This is a time that is primarily focused on individual work completion with support from faculty who are on duty in the dorms and peer tutors. Students may also work collaboratively or seek out extra help from a specific teacher. The library, computer labs, and art rooms are also open during this time.
After study hall, dorm jobs are completed, rooms cleaned, friends spend time together and dorms may have meetings. Students may also hang out in the student lounge or use the gym before check-in.
