Academic Success

White Mountain School students often find more challenging school work here than at their previous school. Most love our discussion-based classes. Some are drawn by our philosophy that there is more to learning than memorizing facts (see Learning Outcomes).

Other students want to escape the anonymity of a large classroom, instead wanting teachers who know their name — and who understand how they learn. Some need a school that can support them with organization and study skills or mild learning differences (see Learning Assistance Program).

Some want challenge and support.

Whatever the reason, our academic program is structured to build your confidence and emphasize learning in an open and supportive environment, where success is measured by more than test scores.
