What has influenced your passion for working with students?

I have had so many influential teachers in my life who have shaped who I am today. They helped me get my life back on track and provided unparalleled support for me. I want to be that role model for as many students as possible!

What is one interesting thing not many people know about you?

Throughout college, I was a member of our Javanese Gamelan ensemble. This is an Indonesian ensemble made up of metallophones and a few stringed instruments. I learned almost every instrument and would love to be a part of a Gamelan group again!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

An architect that designs stubbornly hyper-modern buildings in isolated areas that are highly sustainable! (but with my luck I’d probably end up co-designing ranch style houses in suburbia).
