As a member of the Office of Development and Alumnae/i, Carla manages annual giving and alumnae/i relations. She takes to heart the connection between relationships, belonging, and giving. The students, parents, alumnae/i, and friends all have a connection that tells a story. Through these stories, we weave together the past with the present and forge a sustainable path for the future of The White Mountain School.
Immediately prior to joining White Mountain, Carla supported administrators at both Littleton High School/Daisy Bronson Middle School and Mildred C. Lakeway Elementary School, all in Littleton, New Hampshire. While she considers "mom" as her highest level of work achievement, Carla's professional career has included real estate, human resources, and several years as an acquisitions editor in scientific publishing in New York City.
Carla and her husband, two children, two dogs, and two very geriatric cats all make their home in Littleton. When she is not working or dancing, she can be found reading, napping, kayaking, or walking in the woods.
B.A., Psychology/Sociology (with a minor in Dance), Macalester College
Why did you choose to come to White Mountain?
I chose The White Mountain School because I wanted to put my work efforts and time into an endeavor to which I felt personally connected; I wanted my heart to enjoy my daily work as much as my head.
What is your favorite part about working at the School?
So far, my favorite part of being here is the people. There is a genuine sense of care for each and every staff member as more than just their title or their role.
What is your favorite place on campus?
The dance studio, followed closely by the glass hallway when the sun is streaming in.
