Why White Mountain?

I love the small, friendly community and the potential for students to explore who they are and what they want to study. I think this combination of support and openness allows for student growth in a way that few other environments do.

What do you value most about the White Mountain community?

Each individual has a role in the larger community, and the culture is driven by the students, so it is difficult to disappear or disengage. We’re also a diverse school, and students from many different backgrounds have the opportunity to share their experiences and stories. This is possible because there is a general sense of respect and kindness in the community, so people feel they can talk about who they are and what their goals are.

When not in the classroom I can be found:

Painting en plein air! I paint locally and I also travel.

Favorite place on campus?

I love the art room! The floor-to-ceiling windows create such a bright, inviting space, and we have enough room to do all kinds of projects.

Favorite season?

Fall. The mountains are so beautiful when they are lit up with the colors of the changing leaves. I also think the beginning of the school year is just an exciting time for everyone.
