Education: BA, Harvard University; MA, Educational Leadership, Columbia University
My primary roles at White Mountain: Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning
Why White Mountain? The opportunity to help build a transformational learning experience-- both academic and personal -- rooted in student-driven inquiry; an inspiring community that is humble and engaged; a wonderful place to for our family (and 2.5 year old) to live
What excites you the most about teaching at WMS? The commitment to student-driven inquiry and designing learning experiences for students that focus on the essential skills and habits. I am excited to look at how the beautiful and inspiring place where we live might become a rich teaching tool.
When not in the classroom I can be found: Playing with Harvey, our deeply curious and energetic 2.5 year-old.
Favorite place on campus? Running through the trails in the morning with amazing views of the sunrise and sneak peaks of the inspiring mountains or walking around the farm.
Not many people know that: My wife and I lived for over a month in a nunnery on the Nepal-Tibet border.
Founded in 1886 and set in the beautiful White Mountains of northern New Hampshire, The White Mountain School is a coeducational college-preparatory boarding and day school for students grades 9-12/PG.
