Tory Dobbin

Hometown: New Canaan, CT
Education: Bates College 2018, Northfield Mount Hermon 2014

My primary roles at White Mountain: I teach French, dance, and live in Carter House.

Why White Mountain? I love the small, interconnected community here at White Mountain. While it is my first year here, I sense a strong relationship to place that I haven't felt anywhere else.

What influenced your passion for teaching?
When I was student teaching in college, I was captivated by the everyday challenge to bring my content to life for each and every one of my students. Facilitating their moments of discovery in both the classroom and extracurricular life is my passion, and I am excited to pursue it here at WMS!

When not in the classroom I can be found: Skiing anywhere in New England

Favorite season?

Not many people know that: I can spin cotton candy like a vendor at the state fair.
