"...most importantly, WMS offered a safe environment where I was able to come out of my shell and learn to express myself. This is where I found the confidence to be me."

I have a strong family connection to WMS, my great grandmother being Dorothy McLane. So I was thrilled to find out I would get a chance to attend the school myself. I have fond memories of my two years at WMS, the camaraderie, the rock climbing and the skiing. But for me most importantly, WMS offered a safe environment where I was able to come out of my shell and learn to express myself. This is where I found the confidence to be me.

I have thought of WMS often, especially over the last 12 years. I am a founding faculty member of a new private school outside of Indianapolis, University High School. Creating a high school that provides other students with similar opportunities to grow and discover themselves as The White Mountain School provided me has been one of my hopes and dreams. I now have an even deeper appreciation for the time, effort, dedication, and history involved in establishing and maintaining a school. Thank you!
