Hometown: Born in New York City, but lived in Keene, Bedford and Dublin NH growing up. Currently live in Bethlehem, NH.
Education: AB from Bowdoin College (Philosophy and French); MEd from UNH (Counseling)
My primary roles at White Mountain: Associate Head of School, Dean of Students. Mountain biking coach, Self-appointed Captain of Light Blue team
Why White Mountain? Because of the warm close knit community. And the impact I can have on students as an educator in a small boarding school environment. And the awesome students that we have.
What excites you the most about teaching at WMS? Seeing the growth that happens for our students, both in and out of classroom. Also, the intentionality of putting so much of their education in our students' own hands.
When not in the classroom I can be found: Playing outside with my family and dog, enjoying the campus trails, running, biking, reading, trying to surf . . .
Favorite tradition at WMS?Community Weekend is the best way ever to start the year, especially when Light Blue wins. I also really enjoy getting to work so directly with students in cool ways and over in-depth topics on Field Course. The annual dodgeball tournament.
Favorite place on campus?Front yard of Vaillant House
Favorite season? Its hard to beat fall in the White Mountains
What I want to be when I grow up:Perpetual adolescent. I'm trying to avoid growing up.
Founded in 1886 and set in the beautiful White Mountains of northern New Hampshire, The White Mountain School is a coeducational college-preparatory boarding and day school for students grades 9-12/PG.
