Kathy Kohatsu is a lifelong educator. Kathy holds a BA in Performing Arts, Economics, and Education from Colby College in Waterville, ME and an MFA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH in Contemporary Dance. Kathy is also the former director of Creative Edge Dance Studio. As the director of Creative Edge Dance Studio (2005-2018), Kathy served as an instructor, choreographer, and artistic director. During Kathy’s tenure at the studio, the studio doubled in size and expanded their performance program to include two full length ballets. Currently, Kathy is using her skills as an educator in the public school forum where she is a proud 4th grade teacher at Bethlehem Elementary School. Kathy has been instructing students at CEDS since 2003.
