Our Values

Inquiry and Engagement

Here, you will love learning, expand what you thought was possible, and reimagine what you are capable of doing. We are a college preparatory boarding school, but we will do far more together than simply prepare you for college. We will prepare you to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life inspired by a sense of purpose and human connection. Our commitment to putting students in the driver's seat means your classes here will feel meaningful and relevant to you. Your classes here will be different.

A long-time leader of the Green Schools movement, we believe it is critical that students learn not just about the theory of sustainability but also how to take real action in their own lives and communities.

Equity, Justice, and Belonging (EJB)

Do you believe that creating an equitable community rooted in social justice where people can feel they authentically belong is a shared responsibility? Do you want to be part of it? So do we. Here we build in time and create spaces for students to discuss, learn, and reflect on the importance of EJB work in our community. One example of this can be seen in our affinity groups and clubs, which focus on supporting students that share a piece of their background, identity, ideology, or a common interest.
