Ty James

Ty joined The White Mountain School this year; he teaches U.S. History and serves as an Academic Coach in the Learning Center. He is also the assistant coach of the soccer team, and will be leading theater in the winter. Before coming here, he spent five years teaching at an international high school in Taiwan. Prior to working in Taiwan, he taught in Texas, in both the Austin and Houston areas. He is a National Board Certified teacher and earned his B.S. and M.A from Eastern Michigan University. In 2017 he and his wife, Andrea (who also teaches at White Mountain), hiked the Appalachian Trail, and he has big goals to hike the 48 4000-footers here in New Hampshire.
