White Mountain offers you the opportunity to search for and build common ground with your peers while pursuing an education that feels relevant to you. The opportunities and challenges that you’ll experience in the coming years will almost certainly require bravery and kindness as much as intellectual accomplishment. White Mountain will help you grow those qualities—the main reason I wanted to come to the School.
School communities don’t simply exist by habit or tradition, however. Our School’s connection to its heritage is essential. Communities are created each day, each new year, through the efforts of the students and adults working together. In that sense, institutions like White Mountain are both strong and fragile—they require constant effort and care and stand for something meaningful and positive when they deliver on their mission. That’s something worth being part of.
